Scoliosis Diagnosis

In children scoliosis may be detected by parents or in school screenings. In adults it may be suspected based on symptoms and complaints of nagging back pain. Once a physician suspects a curvature in the spine, he will most likely recommend an x-ray. Scoliosis can usually be accurately diagnosed with a few x-rays of the spine.
