Military to Marathons : Charlotte's Story

November 10, 2010

Charlotte Robinson at one time in her life served in our armed forces and as late as 2006 ran a 26.2 mile marathon. As a lady of great strength and passion for life, it was devastating for her to slowly lose the ability to do the things she loved.

It had gotten to the point where Charlotte was no longer able to function without assistance…

I was in so much pain I had to use a wheel chair for outings and a cane to walk around the house…I was devastated.

Charlotte had tried steroid injections, acupuncture, water exercises, medications and saw a chiropractor but was left feeling worse than before.

One night, as she sat up crying and unable to sleep, she found Atlantic Spinal Care’s website while looking for answers for her pain.

From the first phone call to Antonio to the last phone call with Dr. Liu…all the compassion and professionalism was their.

Charlotte had surgery in late summer this year and 4 weeks after her surgery she is now up to walking 4 miles at a time and feels as if she has something back that she felt she had lost…her life.

As I sit here with tears in my eyes I feel as if I have been given my life back…I thank God for Antonio, Dr. Liu and the Atlantic Spinal Care team.

Thanks for taking the time to write to us Charlotte. We are happy to hear things are going so well.
